The Journey of a Thousand Miles
With eyes fixed upon the horizon I envision where I hope to be Ten years hence, my dreams realized The goals I hold most dear to see
But distant dreams alone won’t suffice To drive me toward my destiny Small steps today must pay the price To shape the future’s tapestry
Five minutes now seem insignificant But wisdom knows their true worth Each moment builds the monument That conjures dreams to life on earth
So let me dwell not on distant lands But seize the now, and act today With faith that if I take my stands The years will weave their magic way
Ten years on, I’ll look back and see How five short minutes, wisely used Became the rungs that lifted me High where once my dreams were fused
The longest journey starts with steps Too small it seems, to matter much Yet brick by brick a castle kept Rising till clouds it’s peaks could touch
So set your sights on distant lights But value every moment too The future’s born of tiny mites That shape your vision’s splendid view
