The Journey Day 31: Crashing Into His Presence

There have been times in my life where I could clearly see the direct intervention of God in my life. I call these moments my significant spiritual events. Here is a story of a time where I was so deep in sin I cannot even find the words to describe the depths of my “wretchedness.”
It was a bright sunny day in Augusta, GA. I had graduated from a required military school and was excited to get back home to my family. When I pulled out into the intersection of the busy highway, a car plowed into my mine. As the glass flew, metal clashed, and the car twisted around, I heard the Lord speak clearly. I heard the Lord clearly say to me, “You will walk away from this. Daughter, come back to me. This is a wakeup call.” After impact, I sat with portions of the window and windshield in my lap shattered. The attending officer said, “The safety bar in the driver’s door saved your life.” I replied, “No, God saved me.”
God is forever calling us to Him.
Reflective Question: Have you had a significant spiritual event? If so, describe it. If not, think and reflect on how God may be speaking to you.
Reflective Scripture: Job 36:16
