The Jackhammers of Fear
Attracting that which sets us free
The winds carry those with feathers Those without get battered The waters carry those with abandon Those without clutch onto trees
Hurricanes, floods, and fires are disasters to those who hold on to those who do not let go
Those who do let go are those carried away and taken on a journey and whose lives are changed
What is a disaster but the pushing through of the stiff containment of our solidified hiding place?
Being thrust down a waterfall Being blown through the sky Being uprooted from the cement our feet are rooted in
Nature tries to move us and we resist with all our might even though we know that movement keeps us alive
Thank goodness for nature it will guide us home it will show us the home that hides in our heart
We build concrete walls around our hearts Home becomes that built by our fears
But all of our fears attract that which jackhammers our concrete walls and sets us free
