The Islands
It’s a sea I am floating on

it’s a sea i am floating on a sea with waters all around there are a few islands i can see and a few more that i can’t reach
a few islands i have been to mountains and trees i have talked to how they spend their lives in one place unmoving and unimpressed by our pace
a few islands i have been to streams and time i have talked to how they create a path of their own never a step backwards, never at home
a few islands i have been to flowers and kids i have talked to how they keep laughing all their way dreams in the night and colours in the day
a few islands i have been to fire and snow i have talked to how can they be can so unforgiving relentless and merciless, death for the living
it’s always the sea, it calls back to me i go for the dive and gets drown in it it embraces me with its open arms sucks the air out of my lungs and the memories out of me pushes me out of its womb
i float back and open my eyes
it’s a sea i am floating on a sea with waters all around
