The Interminable Walk Towards An Unknown Destination
How can you pilgrimage your way back into remembrance?

The purpose of a pilgrimage is about setting aside a long period of time in which the only focus is to be the matters of the soul. Many believe a pilgrimage is about going away but it isn’t; it is about coming home. — L.M. Browning
Spiritual journeys are intimate quests meant to deepen our insights about life, such as the nature of reality or our understanding of how the Universe works for us (and with us). Signing up for this wild ride is said to lead us towards living an intentional, conscious lifestyle. Is that really what happens, though?
This voyage feels more like unraveling ancient truths encoded in our DNA while listening to “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” by Green Day in our headphones— because we do walk alone and our shadow really is the only one that walks beside us.
I had no goals when I decided to take this path in life. I don’t strive for enlightenment or eternal bliss. I don’t wish to be a Buddhist monk. I will go wherever this journey takes me and if that’s nowhere and everywhere at the same time, I’m fine with that. Whether I heal from spiritual amnesia or not, I will continue to allow myself to be centred and grateful as the Universe ushers in a new chapter for me.
Maybe this journey is merely about allowing our cells to receive what they’ve been asking for — be it remembrance, peace, bliss.
Maybe it’s not that complicated.
