The Intent to Change Relies Heavily Upon Filteration
It all depends on how you frame your choices.
I need/want/desire to change. Haven’t we heard ourselves a lot, lately? Yes, I am indeed hoping to change. But how can I intend to change when other’s around me force me into submission towards their own ideals?
The classical interpretation of change relies on one’s ability to dissect important pieces of information, that are relevant to one’s goal. As we can not change if we don’t have goals. Or being more precise, we aren’t goal-oriented and lack thereof.
Over the years, I have indeed passed through a funnel of filtration. Much like the method I studied as a child in the 5th Grade Science class.
Filteration is the process of removing impurities so that they can be contained & removed, making the essence of what is being filtered — purified.
In life, many things contaminate our perspectives, mind, and vision. They pollute our sense of envisioning change. These impurities henceforth carry a lot of harmful effects that can halt all change that we aspire to make.
Consider these impurities as words, expressions, judgments, and even the shameless acts such as plagiarizing your ideas, on pen and paper. If you’re working due diligently on something and you have dedicated your life’s hours, days, weeks, months, and even years to it.
Such kinds of contaminants can eventually lead to depression disturbing your peace of mind, and moreover, you resolve to change.
To filter is to discard, words and notions that intend to disturb progress — your progress.
The best way to avoid such experiences is to adopt a frame of mind that removes such thoughts and expressions. Focus on what you are doing, as it matters. Our lives are filled with moments that test our faith in ourselves, and this is one of those moments.
Words such as these, are much anticipated if we are cautious with what we do. There are many things — necessary attention that we can avoid by filtering our thoughts, and removing any impurities that tend to make us woe.
I have been experiencing a lot many things lately, and there isn’t a moment where I am actively or passively filtering my thoughts to achieve my goals.
Goals should never end, The race should always go on. Your finish line should be at the end of each goal, and vice-versa. But always have more goals in store for when you reach your set goals.
There are many goals that sometimes due to lack of resources one can’t accomplish. I have been there, just like yourself. I too have filtered some goals, that did affect me later on but it is good that I was able to filter so that now I have time for more.
If you intend to change, you should learn to filter your mind, yourself. This aspect is very important to develop a frame of mind that helps you to focus on the things that matter — You matter.
As time goes by, things become harder — life becomes easy when you learn to filter those feelings. These emotions can be managed when you filter them accordingly. Imagine, you have work to do but you lost someone really close to you. They won’t want you to writhe, instead would want you to smile and embrace your life.
