The Importance of Having a Relationship With Yourself

Be in a marriage with yourself.

Who are you? Do you know who you are?

Perhaps, you don’t know who you are and therefore you don’t have a great relationship with yourself. How can you have a great relationship with yourself if you never spent time getting to know yourself better and who you really are?

Stop studying other people. Stop studying celebrities.

Study YOU.

Study what your likes and dislikes are. Study your passion. Study your fears and courage. Study your strengths and weakness. Study what makes you sad and happy. Study who makes you feel happy and who makes you feel miserable.

It’s impossible to have a great relationship with other people if you don’t have a relationship with yourself. There is nothing wrong to be a partner to yourself. That term is called “self-partnering” and is used by Emma Watson.

Be in a self-marriage with yourself.

You can’t expect people to love you if you don’t love yourself. You can’t expect people to treat you the way you wanted to be treated if you treat yourself like crap. The way you love yourself will be the way for other people to love you. Focus on yourself. Focus on working and building yourself into a better person every day. Self-love should be what you’re aiming for. You should chase after the dream of loving yourself first. It can be hard at first if you hate yourself and have the habit of not seeing yourself as worthy of love. You’re worthy of love. You just have to love yourself first.

To love yourself first means you have to get used to being alone. It’s hard if you hate being alone, but there is nothing wrong with being alone. You have to get used to being by yourself first. It will come. That time will come.

Loving yourself first is not something that happens overnight. Loving yourself every day is like a snowball effect. The love you have for yourself will grow bigger if you continue practicing loving yourself daily.

Having a great relationship doesn’t only mean you love yourself. It also means you have to be honest with yourself. You have to be straight honest to yourself. Because if you lie to others, it means you lie to yourself too. You have to forgive yourself for the bad things you did in the past. You have to move on and encourage yourself when no one encourages you. It also means you have to show lots of support to yourself.

You’re the only one who can calm yourself down out of an anxiety attack. I know it’s easier said than done, but you have the capacity to talk to yourself out of that state of mind.

It means you take care of your soul, mind, and body. Treating yourself badly means you don’t like yourself. Treat yourself with kindness, respect, and love. Don’t torture yourself with self-hate. Don’t harm yourself like that. You don’t wanna do this to yourself.

Stop saying things like:

“I hate myself.” “I don’t feel good enough.” “I am always unlucky in love.” “I don’t deserve happiness.”

These miserable words will manifest a miserable face. Your face will project miserability if you self-hate yourself. If you hate yourself, you’re your own worst enemy.

And start saying things like:

“ I am worthy of love.” “ I deserve to be happy.” “ I am confident and strong.” “ I believe in myself.”

These joyous words will manifest a joyful face. Your face will shine joy, if you continue to love yourself. If you love yourself, then you have a great relationship with yourself.

You have to believe that you are good enough in this world. Oftentimes bad people would make us feel like we don’t belong in this world and we’re just a headache to everyone. Don’t believe in their words. If you believe in their words, their words become your reality. Believe in YOU. Believe that you’re good enough in this world.

Being in a relationship doesn’t only mean you have to be kind and happy all the time. It means you allow all your emotions to come out at the right time. Give your emotions the permission to express themselves through different variety of emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, etc.

You have to get to know yourself better. You’ve been so focused on school, job, and family that you forgot to even study yourself. You have studied in school in different subjects, but you haven’t studied yourself. You study in school but you haven’t even studied yourself and who you really are. It’s time to study and self-examine yourself. Find out who you are. Find out your boundaries and figure out what makes you happy in life. It’s okay to say no, you don’t owe people anything.

I can’t tell you who you really are. No one can tell you who you really are. Only you can get to know yourself better. Only you can figure it out.

Having a passion in life is also a way to love yourself. Listening to your intuition is important because your intuition is your guidance. Your intuition is your life guidance.

You’re unique because there is no one on this planet quite unique as you. No one is the best version of you, but you. You’re original.

You have to practice being comfortable being in your own solitude and skin. You can’t be dependent on other people to fulfill your emotional needs. You’re the only one who has to fulfill your own emotional needs. Life is too short, to not be a partner to yourself.

You can’t rely on people. The best person you can rely on is yourself. Be proud of yourself, when you have created great content or done something productive for today. Allow yourself to make mistakes in life, so you can be better next time.

It’s not enough to tell yourself that you love yourself. You have to practice things that will be fruitful to your soul, mind, and body. Loving and accepting yourself is great. But build your self-love by doing what’s good for you. It’s time to commit to a cleaner, healthier diet. Commit to exercising as often as you can, as it can make you feel mentally good about yourself.

You were born with great self-love and joy. It just faded away as you grew older. You suddenly forgot who you are. You forgot what it’s like to love yourself. You forgot what it’s like to feel joy. But you can rediscover the great love you have for yourself again. It’s time to stop being hard on yourself and stop making excuses for being you. Claim yourself. Claim who you are. Stand on your ground. You’ve every right to love yourself. Don’t let anyone else make you feel bad for loving yourself. They’re lost on their own track in life. It doesn’t mean you should lose your own track in life.

It’s okay to start all over again. You can love yourself again. Grow and improve your relationship with yourself daily like a snowball effect. The more you love yourself, the better the relationship you have with yourself.

It’s time to have a relationship with yourself with pure humbleness. It’s time to perceive yourself as a loving, kind, generous person who deserves love, happiness, peace, abundance and prosperity in this world. Embrace your flaws as they are because they’re part of what makes you unique.

Feeling the joy of loving yourself is healing and makes you feel alive. Have unconditional love for yourself, like you have unconditional love for your child.

Be married to yourself first.
