The Human Self and the Soul Self
Two Parts of the Same Being
There can be no human life without a soul inhabiting the body. When the soul leaves the body, no life remains. I’ve had a hard time negotiating the whole human/soul connection, although I’m finally beginning to get it now. The soul is always connected to us, but we’re not always aware of that connection. I asked the Archangels for their input on this, and below is their response. Some of it is specific to me, but it offers information to help all of us understand.
Question: Can you please help me explain the human and soul connection?
Answer:
Sure, and we will revisit part of your own journey in order to do so. We remember this well. You were on the road to awakening, and you were feeling your higher self, but you considered the relationship of the two parts of yourself as being combatants, rather than two forms of one being of light. You believed that life was a battle between your spiritual self and your human self, and you thought trying to do the right thing, which had become very important to you in hopes of pleasing the God you knew at that time, was winning the war against your human nature. You think this silly now, but you are mistaken. It was a major point in your spiritual journey which led you to where you are now.
Your conscience has always been strong, and when you did something you perceived to be wrong, it weighed heavily on you. You considered your conscience to be the Holy Spirit you’d learned about in Christianity, and you were partly right. Spirit is present in you in both your human form as well as your soul form, just as it is in everything and everyone. We are all part of the same Spirit. What you perceived as the Holy Spirit was your higher consciousness and sometimes your guides, leading you toward your higher self, which is what will bring you more consciously closer to Spirit. There wasn’t a battle between our spiritual and human parts. There was only a struggle to find each other.
As you know, your higher self, your soul, has universal knowledge that you do not, and you have physical access to life on Earth that your soul does not. Once you opened your heart and mind to new possibilities such as Reiki and channeling, the gap between your two parts, which had been moving closer together throughout your life, continued to get narrower, and now you are able to connect and learn from your soul. You’re able to begin working more effectively together. This is a beautiful thing and is the key to so many things in the human lifetime.
As per your life plan which we all worked on together, you opened to us first, because we knew it would be easier for you to grasp and understand. Our connection eventually led to connection with your higher self, which has always been connected, although you were not aware of it, just as we were always connected, even before you “found” us. It was your higher self who knew you would understand an Angelic connection better at first, than a connection to the soul.
Remember at first, when you were uncomfortable with the connection and communication with your soul? Yet you were never uncomfortable with our connection. It was your soul who knew this would be the case, because you are two parts or forms of one being.
The more people who learn to connect with their soul, the better the world will be. All people have this connection. Once it is reestablished from the human end — the soul is already connected and aware — humans can begin to move toward universal knowledge and soul guidance, which is always better for the person as well as the collective. This is the key to finding solutions to life on Earth.
For many, this is a difficult connection to grasp, which was the case for you. It took some time for you to consider your soul as one with yourself, as well as to trust the rest of you, but now you recognize that no entity knows you as well as your soul, which is yourself. Even we, who love you and know you so well, can never understand you as completely as your soul, because whether or not you were aware at the time, your soul experienced everything you experienced in all your lifetimes. The separation of body and soul is a misinterpretation. There can be no human life without the soul connection. There is not separation until the time of human death.
All people should reach for a better understanding and connection with their soul. The soul will never lead you to do anything that is not in your best interests, for to harm you would be to harm itself. This is why the soul plans the human life. The soul knows what you need based on universal knowledge. What you understand on a human level is miniscule in comparison. The closer the human self is to the soul self, the more information is available.
Your soul is your power. When we say to stand and live in your power, that is another way of saying to trust and connect with your soul. Invite your soul to be an active part of your life and begin to find and feel your power. This is what we wish for every person. Many will be like you, more comfortable connecting with their guides and/or Angels, but that connection will eventually lead to realizing the soul connection.
Messages from guides and souls will always be similar if not exact, so it doesn’t really matter from an informational standpoint where you get your answers and guidance, however no other entity will understand you as fully as your higher self, and it is your soul who is the direct source of your power. You are not separate, really, you are one, but your conscious mind is not always aware of this connection.
Final Thoughts
I understand this connection more all the time. In the beginning, when I started getting these downloads of information out of the blue, I didn’t know where it came from or from whom. I knew the connection was different from the Archangels, but I didn’t understand the source until later.
When I realized it was universal knowledge coming from my soul, I felt even more confused, and it took me a while to think of my human and soul selves as one entity. I even felt some resentment and was worried about being “bossed around” by that part of me. After all, the soul is the part of me who planned the life I’ve lived, which hasn’t always been easy or pleasant. The only thing that helped me accept this odd relationship was time, really.
The more in touch I got with my higher self, the more comfortable it became, not because I completely understood it, but because I recognized it. After interacting with my soul, it felt more and more familiar and right as time went on. It’s still a work in progress, but I trust the process now. I trust my higher self. I think of her as a “she”, because, hello, I’m a girl, and I’ve come to realize that she is me, and I am her.
It sounds weird, I know, and I can’t explain it any better (hence, my request for help from the Archangels). It’s something I think you have to experience, and we all can, if we’re open to the idea and work on closing the gap that isn’t really a gap as much as a forgotten connection. The good news is, we can reactivate that connection and live a much more complete life.
