The Hug
A poem addressed to myself
I need a hug Don’t make me sleep on your heart’s rug I switch between infinite bodies You’ll never know how I got to this
I need to feel your sun Until there’s no reason left to run You allow me to be anyone at any time But I can’t be myself, that is a crime
I need to feel your touch Your gentle words that mean so much I hold my breath and count the stars I wish you didn’t have these scars
