The Heart’s Duality
Killer Feels
What lurks within the heart’s own halls,
In chambers where darkness falls?
When severed from reason’s grip,
What evils make blood drip?
For storms of rage unbound by light
Can turn hearts from wrong to right.
When shadows reign, what beasts awaken
To make innocence forsaken?
But peer inside those pupils darkened,
Your own reflection, you may harken.
We all shelter some small share of demons,
When will unleash, human frail.
So sound drums of mercy greater,
To drown out vengeance, cater.
On paths where both may heal beyond,
The heart remains our common bond.
Whether dwelling in light or exiled in night,
What matters is how gently we proceed.
For we lift others who themselves fallen,
When hands extend in common need.
