Betty changed everything…

Thank you to Crush for doing these hundo prompts. Today’s word is HARDBOILED.

Hardiman was a straight shooter. There was no beating around the bush with him. He said things as they were, and that was all there was to it.

Until the day he met Betty. She was a real doll. A sweetheart. The kind of woman you marry. Hardiman had never had a need for anything like that in his life before that day. He was a lone wolf, a private-eye with a real mean streak.

But Betty changed all that. She came into his office one day looking for her brother. He’d disappeared a few months back without a trace. Hardiman took one look at Betty, and he knew he was in trouble.

Thank you for reading my story. I’d love to hear your opinions.
