There is some good news for humans in this year of 2023. There is some bad. It is like that for all of the Living.
This year, a hardline has been established with respect to extinction of species on this planet.
Sure is. Scientists have shown the asteroid crash that killed the dinosaurs off was one such hardline — that means mass death happened FAST with respect to the time required to make it real. All other extinctions took time, as time is understood among the Living on Earth. So, the time required to effect all the other mass extinctions, but this one, and the Cretaceous one,
happened super fast with respect to time. We are the reason for the sixth mass extinction, as we well know. It is going FAST.
Loads of Life was lost in all those times. Sure, their disappearance meant room for different species, species adapting quickly to their new environments, and adapt they did.
The Living repopulated Earth. No problem.
Do we need to talk about this again?
Apparently.
Human activity on this planet is taken to be the epitome of excellence, the reason all of Life ever existed….well, elite men’s existence, to be exact. The rest of us don’t even count enough to mention in men’s records and certainly not in the positions of power among humans who have ever lived or will ever live on planet Earth.
Hardline.
What would need to evolve to survive in the new environment that is quickly becoming real on planet Earth?
We know Life has evolved around everything space and magma had to throw at it from the very beginning of Life itself

on this planet, Blue Among the Stars.
There is no reason to think this time will be any different than all the other mass Life extinctions that have ever occurred.
Nature is nothing if not adaptable, filled with possibility made manifest, and NO species is more important than any other or Nature,
which is the processes underlying Life itself.
As we enter the year 2024, as the Euro-US Cultural Complex counts, is that number important?
To the rest of the Living?
They don’t even notice. They don’t have to.
They never did, regardless of very recent human pretence. Can we survive ourselves,
that is actually our question now, certainly not how important we are to Life Itself?
