The Happiest Thing in Life

Dreaming about fame and success, or becoming a brilliant star that wins respect from the others — Is that a hide-and-seek game with numerous targets years after years?

Sometimes I wondered if the happiest thing in life comes from the very simple deeds that have never been hidden?

The happiest thing in life, probably, are things that I might shut eyes to. Having too many irons in the fire all day long, I should take the edge off daily tasks and ponder on the true meaning of happiness.

Look back at the early years under family’s protection. That could have been the happiest moment in my life. As time rolls on, I keep looking forward to widening my horizon with new experiences, and slowly getting far away from the very first source of joy.

When there are days that are bad enough to get worse, I think about things that happened and will happen that can give me light. And I try to cling to some that I won’t to let go of.

It was the bloom of youth, when the inner self urged me to act impulsively, and I opened a can of worms.

Once everyone seems to turn their back on me, my family is still there to give me a warm welcome. I don’t need to be flawless because my parents know that I need some life lessons to get stronger.

When life comes too hard, I tell myself that there are my mom and my dad who wish to see me to brighten up my life. That’s the happiest thing in life to treasure because this won’t last forever regardless how hard I try.

Make the most of my family time to see smiles from people around me, and I know that I am among the happiest ones in this harsh world.

Passionate about my work

When a teacher asked, “What do you want to become in the future?” I remembered that there were some dream jobs for everyone.

While some of my friends were lucky enough to nurture their dream jobs from an early age, I struggled with my passion for years before knowing what I really do for love.

The happiest thing in life is making every hour at work go along with the feeling of excitement and contentment. When I understand what I do is not a nine-to-five nightmare, I feel thankful.

I keep on reading stories about late bloomers who succed later in life, and I realize that I have to race against time to make my dream come true. When I step back and compromise with things I don’t like, days and days become a repeated series of misery.

Living with passion is a choice and it does not come for free. Yet, I have to pay a lot to ‘buy’ that happiness.

That’s when I find the one who loves me for who I am — we become the whole world to each other. Loving and being in loved will release oxytocin in the most generous manner.

Reality is even better than my fantasy — I can’t sleep because I don’t need to dream. Every time I smile, he smiles. Every time I cry, he wipes away my tears.

No matter how hard life is, I arrive home seeing my soulmate’s smile, and I have the reason to fight. I will never be the miserable but the happiest person in the world filled with love.

The minute walking down the aisle, I know that “weak” and “strong” are inseparable parts of my nature. Now, I have the one standing by my side, and a moment of weakness won’t break me down. At the same time, I know that I will have to build myself stronger to protect my loved one.

Keep smiling every day

There are days when I just don’t want to wake up and talk to anyone. Or, even when I try to smile, sadness fills in my puffy eyes.

“What is the happiest thing in life?” becomes the most disgusting question in the world that appeals to my void.

When troubles cloud my day, I try to take a deep breath because I am still alive. I know that I still have another day to work, see the people I love, and better myself day by day.

I smile and think positively. I cannot reverse the situation right now, but I learn how to get away from bad thoughts.

When it’s so hard to find things or people that make your day, at least you should know that you have experienced the wonderful moments in your life. Looking ahead, you have a plethora of chances to create the happiest thing in life.
