The Grey Hornbill On A Custard Apple Tree
April Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Life”
Enjoying the incredible diversity of life
I recently visited my friend’s house. She has a beautiful garden with several fruit trees.
While walking in her garden, we sighted this Grey Hornbill perched on a custard apple tree. I had never seen a hornbill from so close.
This Birdy was sitting on a custard apple tree but was eyeing the fully laden fig tree just next to it. Waiting to eat those juicy fruits!!
It had a brilliant and curious gaze and a unique and captivating behaviour.
The Hornbill had a striking greyish plumage complimented by a yellowish curved bill. It had a distinctive silhouette with a bulky body and long striped tail.
The natural beauty, appearance and fascinating behaviour remind us of the incredible diversity of life on our planet.
