The Greeting Kiss
A poem about how to treat each other
Greet that family member, with a kiss, like a true friend That true friend, with a kiss, like a family member to the end That stranger, like a friend or family member Even when their ways, morals, don’t resemble Greet each other with respect and love from above Welcome that stranger like you desire to be welcomed for that stranger may become your best friend or confidant for that stranger may be there to pick you up when you are down for that stranger may become closer than a brother or sister and stick around for that stranger may become your husband, wife, or in-law Family and friends bond every day, until your last Allowing no ills to destroy, but commit to the past Be a teacher, a trainer, to all who needs Even unto the stranger, do a good deed Do not allow ignorance to destroy We are all one, one soul, by far Our spirituality, allow us to cease Violence against another, no but peace Unwed mothers, fathers, drugs, and thievery, strange indeed Sometimes causing havoc around, spreading like weeds A friend, a stranger, a family member, their creed Entertain the heart, and not destroy the pedigree This is indeed the day that the Creator has made Let us be glad, rejoice in it, and make the grade Rejoice for the good, the bad, and to everyone give Make the World, tomorrow a better place to live Family, friends, strangers and all Commission yourselves together, be enthralled Each one teaches one, each one reaches one Each one loves one, that one will be a clone.
