The Governor Of New York Places Blame For The Migrant Crisis
She says the fault is with Trump
The number of migrants is alarming.
One might wonder why millions of migrants are trying to enter the United States. They know they are coming illegally and are not going through the proper channels for immigration. They are trying to escape their way of life in their native countries to find a better life in the United States.
How terrible their lives must be to risk life and limb to enter a country where they are not being welcomed. Although some migrants are able to enter the United States at the southern border and find help, it does not come without major problems. Most do not speak the English language or are very limited in speaking it.
They may end up like the homeless people who already are residents of the United States. That cannot be a good way to live.
Some of the migrants who are able to enter the United States are being sent to other cities. One of those areas is New York. Their governor has now spoken out about the crisis.
A story by Mitchell Goodbar for Dailymail.com was titled: “NY Gov. Kathy Hochul blames TRUMP for the border crisis despite rolling out the red carpet for migrants before her humiliating sanctuary city U-turn.”
- New York Governor Kathy Hochul blamed Trump for migrant crisis on a recent episode of The View
- The governor alleged that Trump interfered with the border bill and had it killed
- Hochul demanded federal funds to help New York City manage the influx of migrants that have arrived
Hochul said the proposed Senate border deal would have helped mitigate the crisis, but Trump pressured Republican lawmakers to kill the bill.
There are people who are trying to help the migrants by offering humanitarian aid, but the problem is overwhelming for cities and government agencies.
It could also be argued that Trump is at fault because of not being able to fulfill one of his major campaign promises to build the wall and have Mexico pay for it. Completing the wall should have been possible during his term in office. That could have helped alleviate some of the problems with migrants.
