The Goal of Love
a love poem
The goal of love of marriage
is to end a fight loving each other more
than you did when you started it
to resolve hurt in the moment
in real time process by process
the goal of love of marriage
of forever together is to see the injury was not caused by you
but existed as a childhood wound a hurt little boy a hurt little girl
and to get these two to see each other and hug
until the hurting stops.
