The Garden Paradise

For this backyard garden, I deem myself pretty fortunate.
Every act here is restorative. The digging, sowing, transplanting, amending, composting, watering, pruning, staking, harvesting, watching the bees and birds.
Season changes and different plants dominate the floral landscape. I delight in observing them as they transition through life stages.

Year round, something or other to munch on. Be its arugula petals, garlic scapes, borage flowers, lettuce, or carrot.
Fresh, organic, flavorful.
In autumn, desert sunflowers and cosmos add cheer, while Spring is for nasturtium and sweet pea. Each year is different. You never know which spectacle, the garden beds will produce.

I sit here under the azure sky, listening to the finches, basking in the serenity of the garden. Its zen, its mindfulness.

I would not ask for another paradise. It’s my own created piece of heaven.
I recommend you to cultivate a garden for yourself. It does not have to be expensive or it does not require experience.

Start and learn along the way.
You will be thankful for this pursuit with holistic benefits.
