The article discusses the evolving role of women in society, suggesting that the future will see women in positions of greater power and influence, both economically and socially.

Abstract

The article "The Future Belongs to Women" argues that women are rapidly gaining influence and power in modern society. It reflects on the historical roles of women as caretakers and homemakers, contrasting this with the current trend where women are increasingly the decision-makers in relationships and are financially independent. The gender pay gap is closing, with women constituting nearly half of the workforce and no longer financially dependent on men. Women's influence extends to consumer purchasing, driving a significant portion of the economy. Socially, women are often the centerpiece of social settings and are treated with a high level of respect and protection. The article suggests that men are becoming softer due to a more civilized world and the lack of traditional gender role expectations, while women are encouraged to be independent and assertive. The author posits that the historical oppression of women has ignited a fire in the feminist movement, propelling women towards greater achievements and leadership roles. The article concludes by predicting a female-led future and invites readers to share their perspectives on gender dynamics in their relationships.

The Future Belongs to Women

Very Soon

Once upon a time, women had two purposes, take care of the household, and reproduce. They weren’t allowed education, jobs, or power, they existed to support men.

This morning, I tried telling my girlfriend to wash her own dishes.

Unfortunately, I was told that I better finish this article quickly, her dishes are still waiting for me.

The balance has shifted, women aren’t expected to just be a wallflower anymore, nor do they want to be. 9 out of 10 couples I know, the girl wears the pants in the relationship, even if it doesn’t seem that way on the surface.

Financial Independence

Gender Pay Gap by Payscale

Although men’s salaries still have a slight edge, the gap has really closed. Now women also make up for almost half the workforce.

Men are still expected to pay for most things, but women don’t need men anymore financially.

Decisions

Female is the final judge, both sides have inputs but no big decision gets made without the OK from the wife.

I’ve done sales and I’ve rented rooms out, every husband has to go home and consult the wife before committing.

Spending

Women drive 70–80% of all consumer purchasing decisions. From beauty products to clothing, women drive the economy, they are the target of a variety of markets. If they aren’t buying things themselves, guys are buying it for them.

Attention

“Club Admission $50 for Men and Free for Women” Clubs often does this and it’s a good representation of women’s value today. They are the centerpiece and driving factor for any social setting. It’s no surprise, they talk a lot, laugh a lot. And with the help of nutrition and medical advances, they look more beautiful ever.

Men, on the other hand, are more designed to operate businesses and get things done, it’s dry without estrogen in the building.

Treatment of women hasn’t changed

We still expect to protect women, differ to women, “ladies first” still apply. Hitting or even disrespecting women is a big no-no.

Sex power belongs to women, they say if they want to have it or not.

Men are weaker

The world has never been a more safe and comfortable place to live in, men are no longer fighting in wars, material quality is higher than ever.

The world is more civilized, men are brought up to be friendly. The combination of the two has made men softer.

The opposite is true for women, although life is easier, they aren’t brought up by old traditions anymore, girls are encouraged to be independent and think on their own, no longer are they expected to solely hind behind the scenes.

Desire for position

This’s probably the main reason I think the future belongs to women. They’ve been oppressed for so long, even today they still feel shorted in comparison to men. They’ve got a fire built up, they are out to prove that they are just as capable and deserving as men are, feminism, they call it.

Female Revolution

It’s becoming a more feminine world, even for men themselves. The rugged, brooding men certainly have their place in the world still, but feminine looking men like Justin Bieber appeal much more to the younger demographic.

The unspoken rule today is even though women are thriving and becoming stronger than ever before, they still need to be respected and treated with class.

Within the next 10–15 years, I’m guessing, women would take over the world.

I would love to hear other opinions about this. What do you guys think? Who is in the driver's seat of your relationship?
