the frog at the bottom of the well
a poem crafted around 井底之蛙, a Chinese metaphor

the frog at the bottom of the well thought he was the King of the Well
reigning supreme over the bricks in his land over the droplets of rain over the sun that waved hello for brief moments every day.
he did not know just how far the sun had travelled the sights that she had truly seen across the world
as he detailed to her just how truly amazing his tiny watery kingdom was
she kindly accepted those brief moments knowing that there will be another hundred frogs in their wells boasting about their royalty in her day’s journey
but also moments where she graces the choir of glistening floral fields all waving hello, singing, celebrating, and truly honouring her for the light she gives.
