The Fragile Nest

You’ll have a lot more respect for a bird after you try making a nest. Cynthia Lewis

Birds toil painstakingly to build their nest, a cozy twig haven to raise their little ones… we humans do the same.

Ordinary as it looks, every nest is precious to the bird that makes it, with herculean effort, one tiny speck at a time.

No one else respects and treasures this fragile nest… especially the ones that have never built or safeguarded their own nest.

The delicate nest is easily destroyed… by strong winds of adversity, that blow off in seconds, what takes prolonged labor of love to create.

In our selfish world, rarely do others give a second thought to someone else’s nest… it’s only the wise who’ve earnestly built their own nest, that will never desire another’s home to be brutally wrecked.

These wise souls remind us that the nest took meticulous effort by both birds to build, and is a sanctity to be respected and preserved.

Storms and negative mishaps are inevitable in life…no one can escape them. Alas, too many nests are destroyed by these passing gusts.

It takes relentless vigilance and commitment from the birds to nurture and protect their fragile nest.
