So despite the fact that my local Big Lots store has ALL the Christmas merchandise already out on the floor and shelves and end caps, it really is Halloween this week.

Here’s the challenge and mission, should you choose to accept it. *

Write a short fictional story. Or long form poem. Scary, as in Halloween scary.

BUT, in the twist — turn it into something funny. Comedy, humor, satire — choose your poison. I am seeing cauldrons foaming everywhere, so, yeah….
