BOOK REVIEW | BOOK RECOMMENDATION
The First Lady by James Patterson & Brendan Dubois
The by-line of this one sounds as if Clinton could have assisted with it also. This story is fast-paced and catches your attention right away.

Some are saying this is the best Patterson book since “The President Is Missing,” while some others say do not buy the Audible version because the pronunciation is terrible and they were too distracted by that to enjoy the story.
The background story
Sally Grissom, an elite secret service agent, who heads the Presidential Protection squad, knows something is not right when she gets summoned. This private meeting includes just her, the President, and the Chief of Staff, which is practically unheard of in the White House.
However, she would not have thought that she would be “invited” to head the investigation into the First Lady’s mysterious disappearance. Even more disturbing to her was the order that any discoveries are for the President and Chief of Staff’s ears only.
Scandalous rumors had been flying around about a Presidential affair, so it was easy to accept the pretext story of her recuperating at a Virginia horse farm.
Everyone, including Sally, believed the story of the First Lady cutting off contact while she mulled her predicament and her next move. That is until the arrival of a ransom note and the First Lady’s finger.
My recommendation
Although I enjoyed The President Is Missing more than this story, I found them both compelling and enjoyable.
