The Fight Of Two Wolves Within All Of Us
It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves…
An old Cherokee teaches his grandson that life is full of problems and that a fight between two wolves is always being done. Who are those two wolves?
The first one is Evil; this wolf will bring a lot of troubles to your life. Some of its major features are anger, regret, envy, arrogance, sorrow, greed, resentment, self-pity, guilt, lies, inferiority, false, superiority, ego and pride. This wolf is there to destroy your personality, your career, and your entire life.
The Cherokee continues that the other wolf is Goodness; the core traits or properties of this wolf are love, peace, joy, serenity, hope, empathy, humanity, benevolence, kindness, truth, generosity, faith and compassion.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible for you to distinguish between these two wolves, and they will continue fighting within you until or unless you know which one to feed.
The Fight Will Never End
This fight is eternal and may last till your death. The lesson we learn from the Cherokee’s story is that we cannot get rid of the first wolf (the Evil) if we do not make our mind and are not ready to stand by the side of the second wolf (the Goodness).
You will obviously not want any type of arrogance, rudeness and destruction in your life. Instead, you will be looking for peace, success, harmony and prosperity and the only way to get all the success and happiness is feeding the right kind of wolf.
Both of these wolves are always there. They can or will attack your emotions, habits, behaviors and other aspects of life. So, you must make the right decision as soon as possible and begin feeding the wolf you want to be with.
Small Efforts Mean A Lot
If you find it difficult to differentiate between these two wolves and want some guidance, you can begin by telling yourself you are priceless and worthy. You just have to believe in yourself and must stick to your decisions.
There should be no doubts and fears in your heart when you decide to fight with the wolf that is there to destruct you. Maybe, you will face a lot of challenges and problems, but you must keep up the spirit and should continue supporting the wolf that is there to bring peace and success to your life.
Another idea is to learn new things and remain in the company of positive-minded people. If you have some negative-minded friends, they will want you to feed the wrong wolf. So, you must focus on what can bring prosperity, success and happiness to your life and start learning things from now.
Define Our Personality
One thing we have to remember is that life of a person is full of problems. The first wolf may look good to us in the beginning. It will offer easier and better options, but it will eventually make us arrogant and proud.
On the other hand, the second wolf will look difficult to us. Maybe, we will come across a lot of troubles and will find ourselves under consistent pressure. However, this wolf is there for our betterment and should not be ignored.
Which wolf we go with will define our personality in the long run.
Takeaway
By conquering the temptation of the first wolf, we can open the doors of endless opportunities for ourselves. Remember that your negative thoughts can create anger, depression, anxiety and jealousy, so it is better to get rid of them and all other self-destructive behaviors.
