The Fifth Dimension Brings Different and Even Opposing Perspectives Into Coherency

We need to illuminate 5D perspectives for the crises we face in the world today

In the early 1990s when working on my National Science Foundation grants, which involved 2D, 3D and 4D in engineering, I talked with a graduate student at the MIT Mechanical Engineering Lab. I asked her about the possibility of 5D being perspectives. She replied with a look of excitement: “Oh yes! It could be.” From there I began to think backward and forward about perspectives.

One could say that looking at different perspectives was first expressed by Cubism at the beginning of the 20th Century. There was perspective in art, added to 3D reality since the Middle Ages. By the 20th Century we had motion and time, or 4D added to 3D reality, as in motion pictures. Albert Einstein solidified 4D in mathematics, and brought about a new paradigm from the absolute to the relative.

Marilyn Ferguson brought relativity into transformations in the 1980s, in her book, “The Aquarian Conspiracy: Personal and Social Transformations in the 1980s”. She quotes Pierre Teilhard de Chardin who “prophesied a conspiracy of men and women whose new perspective would trigger a critical contagion of change.” Ferguson goes on to say, “New perspectives give birth to new historic ages. … Usually at the point of crisis, someone has a heretical idea… a new perspective. By forcing a more comprehensive theory, the crisis is not destructive but instructive. … It includes the old as a partial truth, while allowing for things to work in other ways as well. By its larger perspective it transforms traditional knowledge and the stubborn new observations, reconciling their apparent contradictions.”

I was personally part of those “New Age” transformations and communities in the 1980s, which birthed in my mind the seeds of the Fifth Dimension as many variable perspectives — which I dream could be another “New Age”.

Francisco Gallegos and Carlos Alberto Sanchez, professors of philosophy, wrote in the Boston Globe, 11.15.20, about the Mexican term, Zozobra, which means “the wobbling and toggling between perspectives without being able to settle into a single point of view … a state of anxiety like a ship about to capsize. … They do not experience a common good for which to sacrifice their personal interests. … a profound vulnerability that gives rise to apocalyptic thinking.”

This is even more descriptive of today’s new crisis, as it was also for the 1980s New Age.

The greatest article in the Boston Globe, 11.15.20, was “Collaboration pushes boundaries” written by Zoe Madonna. She wrote about the collaboration between the Boston Symphony Orchestra and some Hip-hop music — which couldn’t be more opposite. A leader in the second one, Moe Pope says: “For me, it’s about different people from different worlds having a conversation … And trying to understand how these two worlds can live together.”

There could not be a better way to express the Fifth Dimension of different and even opposing perspectives coming into existence, and eventually into coherence.

Wikipedia defines the Fifth Dimension in physics: “The fifth dimension is a micro-dimension which is accepted in physics and mathematics. It’s here to have a nice and seamless tie between gravity and electromagnetism, or the main fundamental forces, which seem unrelated in the regular four-dimensional spacetime.” Another interesting perspective: “According to Superstring Theory, the fifth and sixth dimensions are where the notion of possible worlds arises. …”

A different perspective from Vickie Champion: “You are Living Mostly in the 5th Dimension When You…6 Are aware everything is INTERCONNECTED and every loving thought affect’s everyone. When you give loving thoughts to others, you are giving to yourself. And when you give loving thoughts to yourself, you are giving to others. 11 ACCEPT everyone and everything. 13 Know love transforms all NEGATIVITY.

Light and shade, and perspective are the only two means

Of understanding — that which is reflected

Upon the retina of the eye — is three dimensional.

The actual reflection is two dimensional –

Like Primitive and Egyptian drawings.

Learning about and experiencing

Light and shade, and perspective — is required

Before the mind knows –

The mind in three dimensions.

However, our fine-tuned

Highly complex human mechanism

Has a soul with an inner mind — and an inner eye.

If we look at an object — from different perspectives –

Reflecting each on the retina of the eye-

It is automatically filed in the brain.

Then, when we close our eyes, from the soul

Comes the ‘idea’ to put it all together

And the ability to do so.

If the soul has the capacity — to make whole,

Make three-dimensional, a visual object,

Can it not also make whole –

The separation of beliefs and ideas

Between different people?

The prime pre-requisite is the willingness

To stand at each and every point or position

Of each and every different person –

Who is viewing the fact — the knowledge –

the idea — that is in question.

When you take all these perspectives — without dogma

To the inner mind in the inner soul,

An amazing thing takes place.

Each perspective is right — from that point of view.

And their differences, rather than clashing –

Rather than agreeing –

Make a harmony of different melodies.

And it all adds depth, dimension and perspective

To a wholistic life –

Vibrating with chiaroscuro.
