POEMORAMA AT PAPER POETRY
The Fellow Morning Wanderer
Nature’s Abundance

Subdued starlight vaporising above twisted banyan limbs, tousled tamarind boughs — a calm breeze permeates the tangerine spray of spring season in the bushes — punctuated by fireflies hours ago — notes of cicadas blown out — birds ushering into dawn chorus — cool beads sneaked in blades of grass — about to sink in splashes of sunshine
I steer myself for a morning walk — with path-length and time unmanned — pacing with morn’s angels on earth’s fresh chintz — stained by night’s woodblocks — still damp in infant hues of bleeding horizon — knots of russet sparrows sprinkled on the way — swerving to pick a wild seed or a stray worm besides incessant chitchat
blue magpies swimming across clear sky — cheering in liberal cackles — a chequered butterfly prancing around — red spangled flutter trickling on grass — a persistent winged companion soul — keeping in touch — now and then winking at me; a being persevering for a Midas touch
the metamorphosed mystic; a filigree of light in delicate dark — illumining me, perhaps — to connect my dreams with nature’s bandwidth— amid all this free flowing abundance — I sigh for my potted marigold in flush of bloom — his vainglory deflated yesterday — soil choked the air-starved.
