The February Fabulous Photos

You made my heart swell

A distinguished group of impartial adjudicators (the people who live in my head) has selected some of the outstanding images you submitted to the 52 Week Photography Project in February.

Here are my favorite images in each of the tasks. Have a look:

6-Letter Late Than Never

Chloe Gordon is speaking my language here. So this is a totally biased choice. Sue me. The cropped circle makes such a lovely subtle difference.

Ian Hanson exploited the directional tension in this cleverly framed image.

7-Tangled up in blue

This was a popular task. Lots of great images. Well done Framers!

Fernando Coelho made the blues the center of attention in this intriguing urban photograph.

This sculpture by Lucy Baker: knitted electric cables forming tears flowing from two natural hollows in the rock made an impression on me. I thank Barb Dalton for this ingenious interpretation of the task.

Our own Lauri Novak submitted this wonderful abstract reflection tangled up in blue.

Jesse R. Barker grabbed this symphony of blue-flowing curves that contrasts so beautifully with the upright silhouetted figure. Lovely.

You gotta love Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles playful spirit shining through in this image. Collecting smiles indeed.

8-I Call It Art

Our own kasey sparks got a little too close to Canada on her latest trip and ran into this beautiful icy scene. I love abstractions. This hit the mark.

Andy Fraser got playful with this task. Fun image!

Krasi Shapkarova leaned on primary colors and interesting framing to create this piece of modern-day Constructivism. (See what I did there?)

Shameless self-promotion by Rodrigo S-C. Your comments made me do it!

9-Blank Space

Alison Spence Montillet and I share an affinity for walls. She made good use of this bright orange canvas.

Aaron Paulson leaned to minimalism with this task. Simple and effective.

pockett dessert set the table for her beautiful prose with this soft image. Very nicely done, PD. You gotta read the poem.
