Abstract

u take away from tantra, then you really have misunderstood it and misunderstood yourself completely. A free for all, if you really know yourself, isn’t going to make you happier.

My mother has had her objections to this statement since I’ve been bringing it up and over time she’s softened up to it. She’s been understanding it more and she’s beginning to see it play out in her own life. This has allowed her to have greater control over her reality, just as I have. You can do this also, it's open to you at every instant.

That is what truth is like. You have to experience it for yourself. Take everything I say with a grain of salt. You want to validate things and make the truth inside of you stronger. That is part of the journey you must take in making your life better.

If I really believe in the statement “make yourself happier the next instant”, I cannot then make the statement “you should believe this”. I cannot tell you what your own truth is, you have to learn it for yourself.

Become the voice of your own realisation, you are already always comparing things on the outside with the truth inside of you. Only you can open up the door which is yourself and walk into the room. The statement “make yourself happier the next instant” means that you place your focus and awareness on yourself to see what that truth inside of you is.

It helps you do what you’re already doing faster.

Look around you, we are all running and doing all these things. We all want to be happy, so why not adopt something that works. It’s the algorithm that you’re already running on. Only I’m sorry to tell you that some have updated faster than others. If a competitor to Apple came along and could build the next iPhone 2x faster than Apple, then over time Apple would be out of business. The Fastest Way To Change Your Reality

I do not make that statement lightly…

Photo by Xan Griffin on Unsplash

The nature of the mind is extraordinary, and its features make it the most powerful tool at your disposal. It’s a supercomputer and you, yes you, hold the key to the algorithm.

The only issue is that at times the door to the algorithm is locked, locking you away from seeing the truth inside of you. This is where tantra comes in very handy. Tantra isn’t quite what you’ve been told. It’s not all about sex.

Tantra teaches you the tools to open up the door to yourself even when you come up against a magnificently well-designed door. Think of the matrix’s key maker.

We have all these different doors that lead to the truth inside of us. One door leads to the next. When you get into one room via a door, that room becomes a part of your truth. It was always there but now you made it visible. You made it a part of yourself which is under your control. It’s conscious.

Think of a bank robber, the mastermind behind the perfectly executed plan. He’s a tactician, he’s smooth, meticulous and precise. Tantra teaches you to do the same with yourself. You will come up against doors that do not want to be opened.

The part of yourself in control of the door, the gatekeeper in effect, is simply too attached to letting the inside of that room see the light.

Opening the doors is like opening Pandora’s box. My guru’s guru, Sri Swami Satchidananda used to say “You can only know more, you can never know less”. This is true. Once you open up the doors to yourself, one by one the truth inside of you becomes stronger. You may not always like what you see, but my experiences have shown me, and others have made this statement also, you may not get what you hoped for, but you always get what you truly needed.

Truth can be scary because truth has the power to alter the course of your life. If you can learn what tantra says and you can delve into the nature of the mind and begin to understand your own algorithm and learn to change it, you can more easily look for and embrace the truth that is yourself.

I will now share with you the primary tool kit for changing your reality. Every philosophy, buddhism, personal development, christinaity etc, if boiled down enough, would eventually come to these tools.

These are the primary colours and the elements that make up the path to realisation. They are the most powerful tools in the universe.

Make yourself happier the next instant

The primary derivative of tantra is this. Tantra says “Make yourself happier the next instant”. If you know how to do this you’re well on your way. A whole book could be written and will be written, on expounding that statement, but for now, I’ll keep it simple.

This is a test for you, if you want to know more about this, you’ll have to get in touch. How avid are you for realisation?

Wherever you find yourself, and at every moment you find yourself somewhere, you have to make a choice. Tantra understands this and says you have to make a choice anyway, so calculate and make a choice that will better your life.

Do not take the statement as permission to do whatever you please. If this is what you take away from tantra, then you really have misunderstood it and misunderstood yourself completely.

Who wants the iPhone 12 when you can have the iPhone 24 Pro?

Change your perspective

If the truth is already inside you, then any guru, teacher or spiritual organisation that tells you, “come with me I will give you realisation” is really just confused themselves.

Truth is inside of you, you are already realised, you have just hypnotized yourself from seeing that truth. There are many things I have hypnotized myself to. There really is no destination here, it’s only a journey to making your life better and better.

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa a famous Indian saint once said: “there is no end to self-realisation”. If you translate that into tantra it means that you keep on getting happier.

We adopt things over time, they skew the lens through which we see reality. Enquire into the perspectives you have, question them, test different ones out. This is just another way to see the truth inside of you.

There is not much to be said on this other than the more you do it the better you become at making your mind placid. This is what neuroscientists have been saying. It’s neuroplasticity in action.

There is an amazing video by Destin on his YouTube channel Smarter Every Day called “The Backwards Brain Bicycle”. He talks about an inverted bicycle he built and how it took him 8 months to learn how to ride it. I most definitely recommend watching the video.

Look for the moment where he makes the switch, he switches, in a flash between being unable to ride the bike and being able to ride it. That switch there is neuroplasticity in action. It’s the same way you change your perspective.

It took him 8 months to make the switch and he explains the revelation he had from this experience. He says there’s a difference between knowledge and understanding. So if you translate that into adopting a new perspective in your own life it means “be patient”. It takes time to live the perspective you’re trying to adopt.

Be patient and kind to yourself. If you combine that with resilience to keep moving forward (to keep trying to make yourself happier) then you will achieve your goal faster.

Remember you will make mistakes, I make mistakes, gurus make mistakes, even enlightened beings make mistakes. Don’t beat yourself up, no one gets better at making themselves happier when they are curled up crying in a corner.

Sometimes crying is a great thing, I cry when I need to let some emotions out. But don’t beat yourself up. Give yourself credit!

Love yourself, be kind, and realise.

Pay attention to yourself

Finally, this is the most important aspect, without this you cannot really be effective in the other areas.

“What does paying attention to yourself mean”. I always get this question from people, and I’m glad I do. It reminds me to pay more attention to myself :)

You have to understand that at every moment you are having millions of thoughts, conscious and subconscious and you are experiencing a multitude of emotions, felt and suppressed. This is who you really are, communicating directly with you, and the more you pay attention the more you understand what’s going on with you.

The understanding of what’s really going on with you opens up the door and you can finally look at the ways to make yourself happier and the perspectives preventing you from doing that.

Imagine you’re a smoker. You know you shouldn’t smoke and you want to give it up, only you find it very hard. If you’re paying attention to yourself the instant that desire to smoke comes along, you can identify which emotions and which thoughts triggered that need to smoke in the first place.

What caused it can truly be anything and it’s always individual to you. This is precisely why I find tantra to be the most refined philosophy. In fact, I just call it reality. The reason it’s so refined is because it’s boiled down. There’s no mention of needing to do anything. Everyone is different. So pay attention to who you are and then you will understand what you need to do.

The reason people meditate and do all these spiritual practices is that the calmer you make your mind the easier it is to pay attention to yourself. If listening to hard metal rock is what gets you into that meditative state then do it. If it makes your life better why not do it? For someone else, it could be going for a run. Again, if it makes your life better, why not do it?

The journey to yourself is a personal one, one only you can take for yourself. The more you decide to pay attention to the journey you’re already on, the faster you will go and the happier you will be.

This is exactly how you manifest the reality you wish to experience and that reality you dream of is accessible to you at every instant.
