The Fall in Vermont
Emotional Poetry / Lyrics
I would have lived, If you could have loved me, If you couldn’t hurt me, When I was yours.
Or I would have stayed out on the ledge, If I had been braver, But I needed a saviour, And then some.
Now I have no other.
For a while my view was colorful, strong, Like the Fall in Vermont.
Yes, I would have played out, If you could have loved me, If one day you kissed me, When I was young.
I may have sailed out on the lake, If I had been bolder, But you were mean and colder, than anyone.
Now there is no old love.
Still, for a while my view was special and strong, Like the Fall in Vermont.
I would be free now, If you had been with me, And you had been listening, When I was yours.
I would have held on a single star, If I met a little kindness, But you just couldn’t find it, Out in the yard.
Now I have no other.
And in a while this will be over and gone, Like the Fall in Vermont.
