The Fairy Godmother in Hollywood
A Fudged Up Fairy Tale (Flash Fiction)
The Fairy Godmother wandered into the fabric store. The Hollywood gala was an hour away. For slippers’ sake, why do the starlets wait so long to wish upon a star and beg for help? Every. Single. Event.
At least after they slept with the producers, she made a killing.
The Fairy Godmother poked her wand at the sheer fabric hanging. Perfect!
“We don’t have any more of that fabric,” said the shop assistant.
“That’s ok, love, I only need a little. Just enough to cover nips and cracks.”
“I’ll add it to your account.”
Outside, her signature pumpkin Mustang roared with her driver, Mickey, ready to go.
Note: “The Fairy Godmother in Hollywood” is a modern spoof inspired by the fairy tale classic, “Cinderella”. More can be found in Tannille’s Fudged Up Fairy Tale flash fiction series.
