To the mothers who express their love, compassion, and empathy through eye contact

My Mother’s eyes

The eyes that will make you see another world!

They will cry.

They’ll make you feel proud.

They are eyes of love.

They’re eyes of warmth;

Look at them and feel like you’re on top of the world.

She can tell what’s wrong by just looking in your eyes.

These eyes won my Dad over and made him head over heels over her.

She would never leave until her eyes heal your heart.

Eyes that WILL shimmer in the sunlight; then God’s eyes when she sleeps.

At times, they will give you disappointment and anger and sadness.

They will tear up out of happiness and sadness.

She will always warm your heart, your soul, your spirit.

Can’t lie to these eyes; they will punish you.

God should be happy to have someone with an open-minded spirit, beautiful smile, excellent cooking, most immense love for everybody.

And most importantly, she has the brown eyes of a beautiful Angel.

When you go to Heaven, I will have those eyes watching over me and her loved ones.

I am so grateful to have such a strong, beautiful, smart, creative, and helpful person as my Mom.
