The Eye of the Beholder
June Prompt
I’m throwing this out there without a poem or any fiction attached, because right now the Muse is evading me (too many other things going on in my head right now I guess). I will write something soon, but it’s the second of the month already and time is a-ticking.
So for your Rainbow Salad prompt this month, I’m simply asking that you:
Write about Beauty.
Make your choice of subject as unconventional as possible if you want extra points from me! Not that I really give points, not even in my own weird brain. There is no point system, but making me smile might improve your chances of getting your work into one of the two new ‘featured’ spots for a week.
All you have to do is think about Something or Someone that you find beautiful. Decide what, or who, you would like to celebrate…
Then write. Simple stuff.
Your choice of subject can be obvious, can be obscure, abstract, personal — or a media darling/pop star/actor if you want!
It’s totally up to you, for as the saying (and the title) goes:
‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’
As has become usual this prompt is pairing with the monthly prompt on Counter Arts:
Just remember: Rainbow Salad is for Poetry and Fiction, Counter Arts is for Nonfiction.
Plus I’ll be tagging a few of the usual suspects (and some new faces too) who might like to get us started:
Reece Beckett — Arthur Dewson — Margie Willis — Raine Lore — Harry Stefanakis — Alan J. Schwarz — Asterion — km. rowe — Beth Nintzel — A A McRae — Jackie Olsen — Carlos Garbiras — Marc Barham — John Welford — My mind — Amna fayyaz — Pam Saraga …..and anyone else who would like to submit something!
Thank you for reading — and thank you in advance for any responses you write, you are always very much appreciated. Stay safe. Stay well. With love — Sadie
