The Extraordinary Link Between Wife and Life According to My 8-Year-Old Daughter

From mere rhyme to good reason

In the eyes of an 8-year-old, the world is full of amazing things to discover. My daughter has always enjoyed coming up with new ideas and concepts, and we’ve had a lot of fun exploring her imagination together.

Recently, she shared something really interesting with me that got me thinking and left me awestruck.

She noticed that the words “wife” and “life” rhyme, but unlike the millions of rhymes in the world, she believes that this one was a divine rhyme.

“Without the wife, there would be no life for us to live and if we lived, life would not be very good,” she said.

Inspired by her observation, I looked into this idea and found a connection between the creation story and why God created a wife for Adam.

At the dawn of creation, God sculpted Adam, the first man, from the dust of the earth. Seeing Adam alone, God said it wasn’t good for him to be alone. Adam needed someone to share his life with, someone who would make it worth living. So God decided to make Adam a companion — a wife.

Having a wife isn’t just about having a life partner; it’s about having someone who supports you, loves you, and is always there for you. Life becomes so much better and not so lonely.

The wife brings about life literally. Wives have the power to grow a baby inside their bodies and bring new life into the world.

“Without wives, there wouldn’t be any new people!” my daughter explained. “Without the wife, there is no life.”

“Wow.” I agreed. “That is so true!”

Without the wife, there is no good life.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing. Wives are important for the emotional well-being of the family. They’re the strong backbone that supports and cares for everyone. They give love, understanding, and encouragement to their partners and children.

This is why they say a happy wife equals a happy life.

When a wife feels happy and fulfilled, it spreads throughout the whole family. Her positive energy and love make everyone feel good. And when a wife feels loved and appreciated, it strengthens the bond between her and her partner.

My mother being happy meant my dad was happy and everyone in the household was too, but when my mother was unhappy, my dad was miserable and you would feel such a thing.

So indeed!

A happy wife means a happy family.

My daughter’s observation about this extraordinary link between wife and life is true. It made so much sense to me I couldn't believe an 8-year-old thought of it.

But it's not surprising.

My daughter is a much older soul than me on a spiritual level. Intuitively, I have always called her Mama since the day I first held her in my arms and I still do. Her wisdom is beyond her earthly years and she teaches me so much!

And she did it again: Without a wife, life is not good.

Having a wife brings love, companionship, and the miracle of life itself. Now I cherish the beauty of the rhyme between wife and life. Finding or being a wife is finding or being something really good.

It is not good for a man to be alone but a wife makes it a good life.

A wife makes a life complete, just like a rhyme brings harmony to a poem. The presence of a wife in one’s life harmonizes and completes the human experience.

As women, may we never lose the innate desire to become wives who bring life and goodness to every situation no matter how much the modern world discourages marriage, and as men, may you see the truth in the saying that he who finds a wife finds a very good thing.
