The Exit

The Well-Hidden Secret

What exists exists to hide the exit

A much later Wolfku took up the same theme and said: If nothing were ever hidden, all questions would have an answer.

Now, I believe that to be true.

And I believe this one Wolfku to ring true as well. The universe is a large place with a single, small exit. Well hidden.

Wise men, for as long as there have been men, have been looking for this exit, but there’s so much stuff in this world, in this universe, and the exit can be hiding behind any one of all this. And, we also have to consider that maybe the exit does not want to be found, so perhaps it moves about, now to hide behind that very outcropping which some sage old geezer looked behind just yesterday (and reported exit free — nothing here, guys).

The exit is hidden, must be hidden, for were it not hidden, anyone could find it and that would be the end of that, nothing left to exit from.

Mystery is the glue that keeps the universe together, and this sticky and often uncomfortable (though at times quite pleasant) universe is what keeps some of us hoping for and others looking for an exit.

Perhaps I am pushing it a little far in saying that the only reason for anything to exist, the only purpose for “things” whatever they are is to hide the exit; perhaps Maya plays other games too, but I’m pretty sure that survival is Maya’s top priority, and the moment anyone finds (and broadly announces its location) the exit, well: exit Maya.

End of game.
