The Elf Queen’s New Believer

A quest concludes

You decide to follow Queen Arriana without hesitation. She’s obviously the real deal!

“Let’s go,” you say. “Consider me your loyal servant from this point onwards!”

She smiles coolly. “Nice. I’ll make sure that people know what you did for me today. And here’s a little elven magic to make you all the more effective as we undertake this task. She wiggles her fingers, and you feel a newfound confidence run through your body.

Add a permanent +1 to your charm statistic.
Add +1 to your reputation score.

“Wow, thanks!” you say. “But what exactly is the task? Return you to your kingdom?”

“I don’t quite know yet what will need to be done,” she says, as you start to walk. “But getting to the Feyglades would be a start. Then I can assess the threats to my power.”

Just then Queen Arriana spins round and looses an arrow. A bandit falls, clutching his chest and gurgling.

“Search him,” she says. “And then we need to hurry.”

You run over to the dead bandit, and rifle through his pockets and money pouch. You find:

14 silver pieces
an emerald 
a torch
leather armor (add +1 to health if you decide to wear this)

As the darkness of night falls, you and Queen Arriana leave the last of the Deadwood, and hurry on until you find an inn for the night...

Restore your health stat to its previous maximum.

The next morning, you awake at an inn. You look around, your memory hazy about the events of the previous night. There is no sign of Queen Arriana.

Looking around the room, you find a note:

Good morning, sleepy head! Thank you for believing in me. I’m not sure you are quite ready for what awaits the Feyblades, but when you are more experienced, come see me. I’ll be waiting for you with a new quest.

Going downstairs, a hearty breakfast is waiting for you, and there is nothing to pay. You are pretty sure Queen Arriana has charmed the patron into providing everything for free.

Feeling a little dejected but strangely satisfied at the same time, you head back to the guild.
