- Chibbe — Manchester Terrier Mix — I adopted from a shelter — my first dog/pet as an adult
- Bear — Black Lab/German Shepherd Mix — adopted from a friend who couldn’t keep him
- Dulcie — Brindle Mutt — a pregnant stray that I rescued from the streets of Newberry, Florida
- Boone — Brindle Mutt — son of Dulcie — the only one of her 6 pups who survived
- Bridger — Black Lab/Hound Mix — a stray that appeared in my yard
- Toby — Jack Russell Mix — a stray I rescued from someone in Virginia who was getting ready to shoot him
- Moose — Black Lab Mix — adopted from friends who thought he was too rambunctious for their kids
- Davy — White Shepherd Mix — a stray I rescued from the streets of Gainesville, Florida
- Gabby — Black Lab/Hound Mix — a stray I adopted from a friend who found her on the streets of Gainesville but couldn’t keep her

- Boo-Dawg — Rottweiler/Pit Bull Mix — adopted from a friend — mother dog killed her other puppies — Boo-Dawg was 3 weeks old and in bad shape — she fit in the palm of my hand — bottle-fed her for a month — eventually, she reached 85 pounds

- Pooh — Boxer/Rottweiler/Lab Mix/Hound Mix — daughter of Winnie — rescued with her mother
- Chanelito — Pekingese — adopted from a relative in Miami who purchased him but couldn’t keep him
- Sophie — Poodle/Lhasa Apso Mix — adopted from a couple who were moving into a retirement home
- Syau — Lhasa Apso — adopted with Sophie
Syau is the only dog still living, and she will likely be the last dog in my life.
