The Disease Of AI-Generated Blogging Content Is Driving Me Crazy

Annoyingly, you can easily figure out.

I don’t know about you guys, but I am tired of reading or seeing AI-generated articles on Medium on a daily basis. The infestation has spread so much that every fourth article I read is AI-generated.

Now, I am someone who would want everyone to use AI tools so that they help them in their day-to-day lives. That’s what these tools are for, isn’t it?

For example, QuillBot is a great AI tool that would check your grammar, but that’s it. People who don’t have strong command over the language can use this tool.

But, no, what people are doing is generating full-fledged articles using ChatGPT or similar AI tools, and the articles are so strangely worded that even if you want to read them, it just makes you go arhggg.

When you pay for a subscription on a platform to read stories and articles that you want to read, and then you end up reading machine-generated gibberish, that is the last thing you want after your day.

I am not sure if I am the only one who feels like this, but I am the one who is highlighting this, and this must be stopped. Let’s save the one platform that we all love and admire.

After all, Medium is the home of all the writers, as I have always said. It is the best place to showcase your work, share your experiences and learnings, and tell people.

I know Medium has undergone a lot of changes lately, and they have been experimenting with features and whatnot. Well, I am not sure Medium would be able to tackle this issue, as even AI detectors also fail these days.

I hope we all return to the glory days of Medium, where everything was balanced, and the power lied in the content we published on the platform.
