The Difficult Part Of Healing

The difficult part about healing is that you need to keep accepting you’re not capable of everything you’d like to be doing.

You must accept that even though your ambitions are reaching far, your health is something that holds you back from following them fully.

You must accept that there will be days when you’ll have to cancel all the plans because your body had its own.

You must accept that not many people will understand that you spending more time by yourself doesn’t make you any less fun to be around — that it actually will enrich these connections in the future.

You must accept that healing will verify your relationships, and you might end up with fewer friends over time.

You must know that’s all okay. It’s just a part of the process.

Keep looking at yourself only. Keep reviewing your progress.

Even if you know you’ve been able to do more in the past, remember that the past doesn’t belong to where you’re standing anymore. The past you long for is also the past in which your existence hurt, so don’t wish for it to be back.

Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Slowly but surely, walking forward.

Allow being. Allow imperfection. Allow slow-paced progress.

Don’t wish you were far ahead, either. Celebrate every while in every moment.

Dance when the music is playing, and know it’s coming from your heart.

Cry when you must.

But still, don’t ever wish for your feet to be elsewhere than where they’re standing.

The present moment is your greatest gift. Submerge into it, and let it carry you.

Your path is unique. Your life is yours to live. So don’t ever compare yourself, wishing you’ve been doing more or better.

Accept that your body and mind need more rest than you ever offered. Give it to them now. Don’t rush through it.

Remember who you are and where you came from. The path you walked hasn’t been flat for a long time. Enjoy the slowness it provides.

Your worth is in your very existence. You don’t need to validate it through the volume of your actions.

Allow being.
