The Difference Between Psychic And Medium

Psychics and mediums are both people with extraordinary gifts that often times serve to help people along their journey. However, they are completely different abilities that serve different purposes. If you’re wondering whether you should reach out to a psychic or a medium, here’s how you can figure it out.

What Is A Medium?

A medium is someone who can communicate with the dead. Let’s say you have a deceased loved one and believe they have a message for you or feel them still lingering around you. You would have to go see a medium because they have the ability to see and talk to the dead. Most mediums can actually see the spirit while others just receive mental messages from them by channeling their energy.

A lot of the time in these ghost hunting shows you might see a medium communicating with a ghost by looking off into space and talking. While I’m sure these shows do add a little “Hollywood exaggeration”, this is usually what happens.

Most mediums are clairvoyant which means they can actually see the spirit of the deceased person. The way the spirit presents itself will be different for each medium. Some might just see an orb, others will see the outline of a body, and others can actually see the person as if they’re still alive.

This brings me to a very important point which is that all mediums are psychic however, not all psychics are mediums. Not everyone can see and communicate with the dead. In fact, you’d be surprised at the lack of real mediums out there. A lot of people claim to be mediums but trust me, most of the time they’re not, and they’re just trying to take your money. People who are mediums usually figure it out very early on in their lives through things such as imaginary friends — turns out they weren’t so imaginary after all! Other times it can be triggered through some type of spiritual awakening.

A psychic medium is a medium that mixes their abilities to offer the best reading possible. They would use the words of the deceased person they’re communicating with and mix it with the advice their intuition or what the divine is telling them to help someone.

What Is A Psychic?

A psychic is someone who can communicate with their spirit guides, angels, ancestors, and higher self to figure out the answer to something. If you’re wondering if you’re on the right path or what the future holds for you based on this current moment, then you would go see a psychic.

Psychics have the ability to “predict” the future. The reason I put predict in quotes is because your future is constantly changing because nothing is set in stone. Every decision you make can quite possibly change your future.

For example, if you’re really into writing and it’s doing well for you then they might see something in the future that involves writing and growing your finances. However, if you were to give up on writing and went back to a psychic, there might not be anything related to writing in your future because it’s now irrelevant in your present!

Some people might disagree with this statement, but I believe that everyone is born with psychic abilities. Children are usually very in tune with their powers. As we grow older, we tend to become out of touch with our abilities due to the everyday distractions of life. To put it in simple terms, if it has to do directly with a deceased person, head straight to a medium. If it has to do with yourself and your past, present, or future, go to a psychic.
