The Diarist Entry Prompt: What’s Missing?

Photo by Karla Hernandez on Unsplash

Week four of the fifty-two weeks with your diary entry ideas/prompts.

I’m always a “the glass is half full” kind-a girl in life, sometimes though we do need to look at things in a different way. Generally, the messages we receive about life is to, “look on the bright side,” “be grateful”, or “it could be worse.”

These are all very true statements, and very valid. That said, how do we know we have everything we need, want, desire, or deserve if once in a while we can’t reflect on what might be missing?

If we do this, we can possibly find ourselves moving in a direction that is more satisfying for us, brings more opportunity, abundance, or alignment etc. With that said just for a moment… just a second consider this:

  • What’s missing (in life or generally) right now for you personally?
  • Is there anything you once had, experienced, or did that is ‘missing’? For you personally

What is it you feel your soul really needs that maybe isn't present? What can be done to achieve or gain it?

This prompt is not about being ungrateful, or looking at life negatively. We’ve only just started the year!

The purpose is to check in with one’s self, one’s soul and see what the soul is saying and calling for, so we can move forward during this new year of 2024 — with purpose, based on what the soul, heart, or inner voice is calling for.
