It must be now obvious to all — no matter the side on which you stand — that the Israeli genocide in Gaza is the final nail in the coffin of the Western narrative of the superiority both morally and ideologically of our Judaeo-Christian ‘Civilisation’.
The cassus belli was the Hamas attack upon Israel on October 7th, 2023 which resulted in 1200 Israelis dead and 120 taken hostage by Hamas. After 5 months of Israeli bombardment and a 2-month ground offensive, the IOF has slaughtered as I write this — at 11:56 am on a Thursday — 33,037 human beings including children. Yet the murder of 7 aid workers for World Central Kitchen (WCK) has created more international outcry than the slaughter of so many innocent Palestinian people.
This further illustrates how utterly broken the moral compass is that should be operating as an essential guide and rulebook for humanity especially in times of conflict. But this moral guidebook as enshrined in Western Civilisations attempts to bring redlines into warfare has never had any weight or substance because the world has only ever known the realpolitik of might is right.
Israel acts with impunity because America supplies it with weaponry that slaughters the innocent in Gaza without any distinction between civilians and terrorists. The only good Palestinian in the realpolitik of Western Civilisation is a dead one.
Just as the American settlers and then the US government and military treated the indigenous Native Americans, in Vietnam and in Iraq. Not to mention the slaves and the descendants of slaves in America today. And as England treated the Catholics in the Protestant Ascendancy and then during ‘The Troubles’. As France treated the Algerians and the Germans treated the Jews. The German government is now supplying 33% of all arms shipments to Israel — to slaughter the children and women in the giant Death Camp of Gaza. The guilt of the Holocaust is now bathed in the blood of the Palestinians.
If you missed the story — which I did it was confirmed in a major report by +972 that the Israeli war machine uses AI algorithms codenamed Lavender to determine targets in Gaza. Each target has a number attached to it of civilian deaths which will be caused if the target is hit by a fighter jet, artillery, or drone. There is no safe place in Gaza and no civilian is safe. Every target which almost always involves destroying a building has the number of civilian deaths calculated that will be as a result of the strike. 972’s Yuval Abraham writes the following,
“Moreover, the Israeli army systematically attacked the targeted individuals while they were in their homes — usually at night while their whole families were present — rather than during the course of military activity. According to the sources, this was because, from what they regarded as an intelligence standpoint, it was easier to locate the individuals in their private houses. Additional automated systems, including one called ‘Where’s Daddy?’ also revealed here for the first time, were used specifically to track the targeted individuals and carry out bombings when they had entered their family’s residences.”
The Israeli war machine bringing terror and death to the urban environments of Gaza is the same as the Nazis but with advanced AI and technologically advanced weaponry, the carnage is apocalyptic. Gaza is such a densely populated location and they are using AI-generated kill lists with civilian deaths as not just acceptable but now irrelevant to any rules and redlines of modern warfare.
This also completely debunks the “human shield” fallacy that Hamas is using civilians in Gaza to hide amongst. The Lavender program is operative for these very targets. According to sources, the machine gives almost every single person in Gaza a rating from 1 to 100, expressing how likely it is that they are a militant. Every single person?!
Civilians aren’t getting killed because Hamas hides behind them, civilians are getting killed because the IOF waits until suspected Hamas members are around civilians to target them with high-powered military explosives. Every Palestinian is a target for the IOF.
Perhaps the Israeli high command ameliorates these civilian deaths by reminiscing about the British concentration camps in South Africa the Allied firebombing of Dresden or Nagasaki or My Lai and the hypocrisy of all Western governments.
And now there is the starvation. This was categorically denied by a suited and booted — non-military uniform — Israeli government spokesman on Channel 4 news on Tuesday night when he was not answering questions on the murder of 7 aid workers by Krishnan Guru-Murthy but was denying any food shortage in Gaza or that the Palestinian occupants were facing a humanitarian catastrophe. Fact-checkers almost exploded en masse.
The narrative he gave without blinking an eye was that any food shortages were caused by Hamas “stealing” the food that was arriving in plentiful supply in trucks allowed through by Israel. So Hamas were now also killing their people by taking all the food. You couldn’t make it up. Yes, you can.
From the murder of 7 aid workers to Hamas causing the food shortage was the narrative being utilized to deflect the murder of WCK food providers in Gaza by the IOF. I thought it had been one strike that had killed the 7 but it was even worse than that. The first WCK-marked vehicle had been hit by a drone. The survivors ran to the WCK vehicle behind for safety which was then targeted and blown up.
Survivors of that tried to find refuge in a third WCK-marked vehicle which was some way off, made it there but that was hit by a 3rd drone strike. Targeted? Without any doubt. A mistake? No. Deliberate and ordered with the full knowledge of what was being done. The excuse? Possible Hamas operatives were hiding in the vehicles.
That reasoning/excuse means that no aid convoy is safe when inside Gaza. Period. Very clever and a green light for more aid workers to be murdered to slow and deter food provision.
Israel wants no aid to reach the starving people of Gaza. They are now denying that such a catastrophic situation exists. However, this is what Lynn Morgain the CEO of Oxfam Australia said yesterday,
“Israel is making deliberate choices to starve civilians. Imagine what it is like, not only to be trying to survive on 245 calories day in, day out, but also having to watch your children or elderly relatives do the same. All whilst displaced, with little to no access to clean water or a toilet, knowing most medical support has gone and under the constant threat of drones and bombs. Israel is ignoring both the International Court of Justice order to prevent genocide and UN Security Council resolutions. Only last week the ICJ ordered new provisional measures, stating famine is no longer looming, but ‘setting in’ in Gaza. All countries need to immediately stop supplying arms to Israel and do all they can to secure an immediate and permanent ceasefire; only then can we stop this horrifying carnage for the 2.2 million people who have endured six months of suffering. Israel cannot weaponize starvation any longer.”
Where do the “245 calories” to survive as quoted above come from? Originally from Israel. The Israeli government has known for nearly two decades exactly how many daily calories are needed to prevent malnutrition in Gaza, calculating this according to both age and gender within its Food Consumption in the Gaza Strip — Red Line document. Not only did it use a higher calculation of 2,279 calories per person, but it also took into account domestic food production in Gaza, which the Israeli military has now virtually obliterated.
Oxfam’s analysis is based on the latest available data used in the recent Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) analysis for the Gaza Strip. Oxfam also found that the total food deliveries allowed into Gaza for the entire 2.2 million population — since last October — amounted to an average of just 41 percent of the daily calories needed per person.
So not only has Israel weaponized starvation — why have a document that has already calculated the calorific requirements of maintaining the Gaza prison Camp? — it has even been categorically denied on British TV news programmes by Israeli genocide mouthpieces i.e. spokesmen — I haven’t seen one female spokesperson — that Gaza is on the brink of starvation when we know some children are already dying through malnutrition. This is Genocide by whatever means necessary.
And yet arms are being sold to Israel by America, Germany — Germany?! — and Britain to slaughter the innocent. Yet at exactly the same time, Biden goes on about allowing more aid/food into Gaza. Those weapons supplied may have been involved in the murder of those 7 aid workers of whom 3 were British citizens.
The Polish government is launching a murder inquiry. Rightly so. And so should the British government. And weapons supplies should stop immediately. There is no justification for any weapon supplies to Israel. But there are plenty of reasons to stop the supply of arms.
As I write this the breaking news is that the drone used by the IOF attack that killed 7 aid workers of which 3 were Britons was made in the UK. The IOF killed the World Central Kitchen workers with a strike from a Hermes 450 drone manufactured by Elbit Systems. The Hermes 450 is powered by a UK-made R902(W) Wankel engine, produced by Elbit subsidiary UAV Engines Limited in the UK.
This latest news on World Central Kitchen follows revelations that the Foreign Office is hiding legal advice that Israel is breaching International Humanitarian Law (IHL) according to Foreign Affairs committee chair Alicia Kearns. According to its own arms export licensing criteria, the government must halt arms sales when there is a clear risk they could be used in IHL violations.
The continuation of the genocide in Gaza is mocking the decent attempts by many men and women to ameliorate the worst inclinations and acts of inhumanity in times of war. Israel is completely ignoring the Geneva Conventions. An attempt to stop any regime no matter its political ideology or religious ideology from entering into sheer unadulterated modern technological barbarism.
Other countries have ignored such conventions and committed atrocities in Bosnia and Rwanda but not with the full-scale complicity of Western democratic regimes. In Gaza, the Western regimes are complicit in the murder of 33,000 people and now the starvation of the traumatized, remaining souls who inhabit a wasteland of destruction and death. They are the Walking Dead in real life.
Western Civilisation which Israel likes to place itself within is now a sham. The Judaeo-Christian foundations have been completely smashed and replaced not by any new or even acting on this old morality, or ethical upgrade but by the genocidal wish-fulfillment of a 76-year-old state born in blood determined to erase the Palestinian people.
The indigenous Palestinian people are a massive thorn in the side of an expanding Greater Israel as were the indigenous Native people of North America and the Catholics in the English colonial plantations of Ireland. Each history is so similar to what we are witnessing in Gaza.
Western Civilisation has always been an oxymoron. And now we are no better than the Nazis — technologically sophisticated but with the morals and ethics not of barbarians — as the term comes from an ancient Greek racial slur about the sound the Persians made when talking, “Ba-Ba” — but of nothing. We are a Civilisation of Decline and Fall.
