The Deathless Desert Queen
Introduction to the world of the immortal Egyptian queen, Nefertiti

Nefertiti was one of the most powerful queens to rule over Egypt. Though not much is known about her true history, she was believed to be the most beautiful woman of her time. She was the chief wife of Akhenaten, the heretic Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty, and stepmother to the infamous King Tutankhamun.
Queen Nefertiti’s burial has never been found. There have been many theories about her demise and some believe that many of Tutankhamun’s burial objects were originally hers. Was she just another footnote in history? Was her corpse banished by the priests for her heresy? Or, did she manage to find the key to immortality?
I’ve been an ancient history fanatic since I was a child. My first steps into ancient history were due to a local college doing a display of the Treasures of Tutankhamun in the late 70s. I was mesmerized by the stories and opulence of the time. It would become a lifelong obsession.
The Deathless Desert Queen is my take on what really happened to the queen. I think she got a bad rap from historians and I wanted to give her a new life. In my mind, Nefertiti never died. She became an immortal.
