Most if not all of the people who say email marketing is dead want to sell you the next latest greatest replacement for email. Have you ever noticed these people use email marketing to tell you about what they want you to buy?

The Email From Line
While there is lots of appropriate focus on the email subject line, the email from line gets neglected. Usually it contains your name or your brand name.
But what if we could make it better?
Here’s a couple of “fill in the blank” suggestions:
[Your Name] [action]
[Your Name] Invites
[Your Name] Suggests
[Your Name] Recommends
You can play with your first name or first and last name. These turn into:
“Jeff Herring Invites”
“Jeff Suggests”
etc.
Give it a try and watch your emails get opened more often.
