LIFE LESSONS

The Day I Learned How to Have a Calm Heart,

is the day my life began for real. A Fibonacci poem. And paper.

Creation my own.

Before my personal development started, I had a full head. An overflowing head with thoughts and chaos.

My emotions were in turmoil, but I really didn’t know it.

Little did I know that I couldn’t feel my body. And that not feeling your body wasn’t normal.

I was ignorant.

I thought I was wise.

I learned.

And I found my calm heart.

This drawing, made a few years ago, is hanging on my wall to remind me. Not to lose my heart to chaos anymore. And to start moving my body, finding my connection to nature again if it still happens.

I feel it now when it happens. I am wiser.

And today I wrote a Fibonacci poem about it.

A Calm Heart

Storm rules my heart. Tsunami of thoughts overflows the bucket of my brain beneath my curly hair. Pulled tight in a safe, sound, silent bun.

Loosen the bun, my dear. Let the waves push and pull you. The moon is working hard on your behalf. She is wise, she is smart. She rules. She is.

What’s a Fibonacci poem?

Nature and mathematics are closely related. So my writing Fibonacci poetry is just me honoring Gaia.
