The Day Before Friday
A poem and an apology

it is a day before my third favorite day of the week,
a day that tells me I’m almost to the weekend,
a day I usually ignore because it is almost Friday.
I’m sorry Thursday, I’ll try to pay more attention to you.

When I was in college, it seemed like the week flew by and Thursdays arrived much quicker than expected. Today, at my age, every day flies by, and every day arrives quicker than expected.
This was a poetry prompt from Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她). Here is what she has to say about Thursday.
Tagging J.J. Pryor | Carly Barrett | Ed Sharrow | Rick Post | Nilla Chen | Ramblings Anon | Jennifer McDougall | Lee Cray | Michelle Loucadoux, MBA | Doc Jay, MD | if you’re up to it and anyone else interested in today’s prompt: Thursdays.
