The Dark Side Of Love
A poetry sparks prompt

Darkness, story, flicker, pain, serenade. These are the words suggested by Jason Edmunds’ prompt to write a poem.
ante litteram romantic heart singing fictitious melodies
why stories must hurt so much?
a tranquil serenade could be enough evaporating fires day-dreaming all life long
Alas!
you innocent idiot savior facing darkness in multiple forms
battles you found in never ending circles struggles instead of joyful plays
ain’t a flicker told you “beware” in love suffering is certain
there awaiting to attend you tattooed blue daffodils and pain
Sometimes it happens that we are not prepared to experience the dark sides of love.
Out of romantic routes, the most remote corners of love in motion in relationships can show many shadows.
The one I depicted specifically referred to encounters with narcissistic individuals.
Deceived after initial dreaming, lovers face the double reality of pain and apparent joy. Drama is always in the air, making it difficult not to desire a step back into the story, to the initial phase of flirting. Just that would be enough to save love, but it would be another story.
