The Dance of Impermanence
Friday’s Prompt: No permanence is ours
Most of our troubles are due to our passionate desire for and attachment to things that we misapprehend as enduring entities. — Dalai Lama
Don’t be too quick To hurry the trial Don’t settle for Hit it and quit it For in due time We heal and mend As we authorize Our challenge
Tough times are sent To buff the rough And easy times A gentle reminder: An era will end A new age will come When tears shall Be sent far away
For nothing lasts Except the eternal The dance, dear one As you practice Your steps Is to grasp The moments And hold them loose
So cast yourself Into the unknown Fearless in trepidation Noble and dark They both have Their place And temporary It is at best
