Summary

The website content provides daily writing prompts for November, alternating between poetry and fiction, with specific words to be used in the poems and a requirement for one word to be part of the title.

Abstract

The undefined website has outlined a schedule for writing prompts throughout November, designating Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for poetry prompts, and Tuesdays and Thursdays for fiction prompts. The weekends are reserved for a special Weekend Challenge. For the poetry prompt, writers are instructed to select at least five out of ten provided words to craft a poem, with one of the words serving as the title or part of it. The poem can be in any form and line length, but the chosen word used in the title cannot appear in the body of the poem. These restrictions aim to challenge writers while encouraging creativity. The website also reminds writers to consider the Monthly Theme and to write promptly and enjoy the process.

Opinions

  • The website encourages a daily writing practice with a structured schedule.
  • The inclusion of specific words in the poetry prompt is intended to inspire creativity within a set of constraints.
  • The requirement that one chosen word must be part of the title but not appear in the poem is designed to challenge writers and push their creative boundaries.
  • The flexibility in poetry form and line length allows writers to express themselves freely within the given restrictions.
  • The mention of the Monthly Theme suggests a broader context for the daily prompts, potentially providing additional inspiration.
  • The sign-off by Ravyne Hawke, EIC, adds a personal touch, emphasizing the community aspect and leadership within the writing platform.

Poetry Form — Any Line Length — Any Restrictions — One of the chosen words must be the title or a part of the title. It cannot be used in the body of the poem.

‘Restrictions’ are to challenge you as a writer. However, with everything else here at PW, use these prompts in any way that allows the creative juices to flow.

Write promptly and enjoy! And don’t forget about the Monthly Theme!
