The Cure For Existential Crisis

God is real. Can you believe it? There’s life after death. Jesus was born out of the virgin Mary. He lived, performed miracles, died for our sins, and rose from the dead. He actually rose from the dead!
There’s no longer a need for existential crisis. We’re not meaningless. We don’t come from nothing and are not going back to nothing. This is just a test, a choice of whether or not we want to spend eternity with our creator.
All the answers to our questions and how we should act are written in the holy books, the Holy Bible. Nothing in this world, no psychologist, no philosopher, no life coach, no spiritual guru, no drug, no piece of entertainment, no level of success, no loved one can be compared to the sovereignty of Yahweh.
We’ve been tricked all along. Blinded by the devil and our sinful desires. We’re fighting over nothing, chasing pleasures that subside 5 minutes after getting it. So much struggle, so much effort and then…, now what? This is it? You thought it was going to make you happy. But you’re still you.
Give your life to Christ. But, hey, at the same time, you want what you want. And if those other things are what you think will fulfill you, even after being shown by life, time and time again that it leads to nowhere, other than to be embraced by a certain type of people who are also lost in their addictions, their sins, which they perceive as virtues, then God will deliver you over to them.
Money, sex, power… What else could a person want? But we always want something. And there’s only one thing we need: Love. And Jesus is love itself.
We’ve been left on our own, left to our own devices, to be shown that we cannot be our own gods. That we’re all slaves to something. Either we’re slaves to the things of the world, to ourselves or we’re slaves to God. And there’s no shame in admitting that I’m a slave to God.
Everything in the universe has a purpose. Why would the universe create things only to destroy them? When we start something, we know there’s an end. And in the middle occurs the process that’s intended to achieve a certain goal. Meaning, we’ve been given life to achieve a certain goal. Not by the universe (that’s just our temporary house), but by the creator of the universe Himself. Therefore, we must relinquish control, self-obsession, and idolatry. Get rid of this stupid, disrespectful, dangerous, and irresponsible thinking that this is our life and it’s our own to ended it if we feel like we can’t take it anymore.
Patience does not have a time limit. It has been a year, it has been 5, it has been 10 and still nothing. If we knew how long it was going to take, we probably would have ended things back then.
You’re tired of waiting? Then wait some more. Things happen in God’s timing, not our own.
Everyone can be faithful for a while. Doesn’t actually prove your faith. It only proves that you’re good as long as things are good. Who can be faithful in the moments of despair? Who’s not going to make a deal with the devil to make themselves more comfortable, willing to step on other people? Even if they deserve it, you’re not the judge.
There was never a need to have an existential crisis. There’s only a need to know on who and what we should put our trust in. God and His word, nothing else.
Sometimes it feels wasteful spending so much time on following God. But we, humans, have this dumb tendency of forgetting or purposefully not doing what’s obviously best for us. So, we need a constant reminder. Because the path we walk in is very thin, and as soon as we step out of it there’s predators, demonic entities ready to entice us to not go back.
Thank God all we have to do is scream Jesus and they run away. But sometimes Jesus isn’t enough because we purposefully shun Him. We’re tired of doing things on His terms. We know when we complain to Him what His answer is going to be. So, we avoid Him all together. We don’t want to do what’s right; we want to do what feels good.
Existential crises happen because we’re not the creators of existence. We’re trying to solve a problem for which we alone do not possess the capabilities to solve it. So, yeah, let’s run back to Daddy. Let’s admit we do not know what we’re doing. That we tried these other gods, and they weren’t able to satisfy us and only the one and true God can do that for us. Amen.
