The Crow and the Pigeon: A Timeless Lesson on Change

A classic fable with a modern message

Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay

Once upon a time, there was a crow who lived in a mountain. One day, the crow decided to leave and said goodbye to the pigeon.

The pigeon asked,

“Why are you leaving?”

The crow replied,

“People here hate my voice because it’s too harsh.”

The pigeon said,

“If you don’t change your voice, you won’t be welcome anywhere you go.”

This fable illustrates the “Crow Law” where people blame outside factors for their unhappiness instead of looking inward. This “victim mentality” traps people in bitterness and inaction.

How To Breaking out of the Victim Mentality

The key to overcoming this trap is taking responsibility.

Instead of complaining about circumstances, focus on your strengths, set goals, take action, and cultivate a positive mindset.

It may be hard, but breaking free from the victim mentality puts YOU back in control of your life.
